  • Afua Ampiaw, Ph.D., RN, MedSurg-BC, ACUE

    Founder

    Afua received her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Ghana and her MSN and Ph.D. from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. She is a board-certified Registered Nurse with a wide array of experience including Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, Peri-Operative, Mental Health, Long Term Care, and Public Health Nursing.

    Afua is passionate about knowledge acquisition and sharing, and excellence in nursing and healthcare in general. She believes her diverse experiences have prepared her to help educate future nurses, hence, she teaches in BSN and ABSN programs.

  • Felicity Amponsah, MSN, RN FN-CSA

    President

    Felicity Amponsah, a seasoned healthcare professional with over 25 years of experience as a RN, previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Felician University. With a strong focus on emergency nursing, Felicity has amassed extensive experience in the field. Throughout her career, she held the esteemed position of Assistant Manager at NBIMC for an impressive tenure of over 8 years. As a dedicated Registered Nurse for more than 17 years, Felicity consistently delivered exemplary care and support to her patients. Holding an MSN in Nursing Education from UMDNJ, Felicity's commitment to education and nursing excellence remains unwavering.

  • Theresa Baffour, DNP, RN, CNL, PMHNP-BC

    Vice-President

    Theresa Baffour, a dedicated professional in the nursing field, is the Vice President of the Association of Ghanaian Nurses in New Jersey. With a strong foundation in nursing, Theresa earned her RN, BSN degree from Seton Hall University. Committed to Nursing Leadership excellence, she pursued her Master's degree in Clinical Nursing Leadership at Rutgers University, followed by a Doctorate degree in Executive Leadership from the same institution. Further expanding her expertise, Theresa obtained her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) qualification from Wilkes University. With her extensive education and passion for healthcare, Theresa plays a pivotal role in driving the association's mission to empower nurses of Ghanaian heritage and promote excellence in patient care.

  • Ruki Campbell, BSN, RN

    Treasurer/ Financier

    Ruki brings a wealth of experience to the healthcare industry, boasting over 15 years of dedicated service, with more than five years as a registered nurse. She obtained her RN degree from the County College of Morris and furthered her education by achieving a BSN from Capella University. During her free time, Ruki delights in her passion for cooking, strolling outdoors, and cherishing meaningful moments with her loved ones.

  • Earlybell Gyamfi

    Organizer

    Earlybell plays a pivotal role within the Association of Ghanaian Nurses in New Jersey, meticulously planning, coordinating, and maintaining records of all association programs and activities. With a knack for effective organization, Earlybell adeptly arranges and facilitates team meetings, establishing comprehensive action plans while ensuring clear and appropriate task delegation, resulting in the timely and successful completion of objectives.

  • Audrey Addaquay, BSN RN,

    Secretary

    Audrey serves as the dedicated Secretary of the Association of Ghanaian Nurses in New Jersey. When she's not contributing to the organization's success, Audrey can be found passionately fulfilling her nursing responsibilities at VA Medical Center in New Jersey. Beyond her professional commitments, she indulges in her favorite hobbies of exploring new destinations through traveling and cherishing quality moments spent with her beloved family.
